Killer Arm Workout


Good morning to all! Hope everyone had a fabulous Saturday! Mine was filled with school stuff, working out, and quality time with my man.  I’m just gonna do a quick photo rundown because I have to get back to the books today, bummer!!

Food Rundown:

Breakfast: Same old oats! (sorry for no picture)

Snack: Since I get up later on weekends I typically don’t need a snack before lunch.

Lunch:

Sauteed tofu taco with chickpeas, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and salsa on an ezekiel tortilla. Pear on the side and 2 vegan oatmeal raisin pb cookies

Snack:

Apple Pie PranaBar. I did not particularly like this bar, it had a weird texture and it wasn't very filling

Dinner:

Shrimpy mixture made by Joey, SOOO GOOD!!

Snack:

Joey whipped up some homemade zucchini bread with cranberry and walnuts. OMG, I'm one lucky girl!

One Crazy Saturday Night:

Party Bag: Pimped out version of Scrabble and some Crios Malbec

Gym Time:

Yesterday I hit up the gym for my weight training exercise. For arms I did this workout from Tracey Anderson (Madonna and Gwyneth’s trainer)  that I saw on IHeartWellness. It only involves 5 pound weights and whoa!!! it was hard!! I did 3 sets of 20 reps each exercise.

For legs I did the same type of routine, 3 sets of 20 reps each for:

Leg Press Machine

Leg Press Machine using one leg at a time

Using leg press machine to do calf raises

One-leg squats

2 minute wallsit (just did this at 3 separate time)

It was quite an intense workout. I also did a 10 minute elliptical warmup, and 5 minute cooldown.

Speaking of gym stuff, this week I need to start incorporating ab workouts back into my daily routine, my abs are gone! eek!

Also today I made my meal plan for the week and did a little grocery shopping already, gotta hit up the natural food mart later though. Here’s the plan:

Monday Lunch Tempeh burrito wrap & veggie
Dinner Zucchini with almond soy sauce & bread
Tuesday Lunch Tomato & Eggplant Sammy & veggie
Dinner Naan Pizza (with tempeh)
Wednesday Lunch Leftover Pizza
Dinner Sprouted Spaghetti and Tempeh
Thursday Lunch “Chicken” Sammy & veggies
Dinner Bean Burritos with veggies
Friday Lunch PB & J
Dinner ??

Well that’s all I got for today! Hope everyone has a great Sunday and hope you are off workout tomorrow like me! (well off school)!! It makes for a much more fun Sunday evening 🙂
